I recently was thinking about some strange but really good beauty tricks that I have used over the years. I hunted down these for different beauty emergencies; some I was a bit skeptical about trying at first, but the thing is… they have really worked! They may sound weird, but they’ll do the trick and do an amazing job!

LIST OF STRANGE ITEMS AND WHAT THEY HELP WITH
-

KETCHUP-takes chlorine out of blond hair (shower with it)

APPLE CIDER VINEGAR-use on your hair as a rinse-it gets rid of product build-up and leaves your hair with a healthy shine

LEMON JUICE-spray on your hair before going outside to get more…

I am very hesitant to share this with the world because it is one of my favorite vacation spots. But I feel since it has brought so much joy to my family, I owe it to the hotel to share it you. It is the Loews Hotel Lake Las Vegas Resort. There are so many fun things to do there with your family and just alone with your husband. There is a children’s pool with a water slide, a volleyball net and a toddler pool. Music is always playing and it sets the mood. There is also another pool that is more quiet and relaxing and meant more for adults. There is a little playground, a mini golf area and a basketball/tennis court. Since it is on this gorgeous man made lake that is close to Lake Mead, there is a beach area where kids can play and chase the fish and adults can relax on the lounge beds. You can borrow fishing poles and do catch and release. You can rent paddle boats, kayaks, take a gondola ride or rent your own boat. The is a kids camp where for a small fee you can send the kids to hang and play while you and your spouse get a break (I have not used this service but am sure kids love it). You can rent bikes, go on walks or jog around the amazing grounds which range from a golf course to multi-million dollar homes. There is a spa and some wonderful restaurants to eat at. The food is mouth watering. The hotel is decorated Moroccan style and is so beautiful and relaxing. I think most every night there is live music in the lounge. Kids are welcome to come hang out on their soft couches and enjoy the entertainment or dance and make memories, Their huge patio overlooks the beautiful Lake Las Vegas. It is filled with with fireplaces, water features, tons of intimate seating areas and relaxing lounge beds. It is fun to sit and enjoy the view, cuddle, have a drink or play some card games with the kids. Across the lake is the Casino MonteLago, the Ritz Carlton Hotel, an outdoor stage where concerts are played on the water and much more. All this is just 20 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip. So you can come to relax and then when you want to party hard you just take a short dive to the Strip to go play or see a show. This hotel is the best of both worlds. Out of the 15 times I have been to the Loews Hotel Lake Las Vegas Resort it has never been too crowded. It is just the best get away. If you have not been, GO! GO NOW! Go with your family, go with your husband or go with your girlfriends. You will find yourself going again and again! ENJOY!

If you happen to visit San Diego-here is a guide to some restaurants that are sure to be a hit!

Ketchupdaily is an expert on restaurants and fine cuisine. She has worked in the restaurant industry for several years and used to work evaluating restaurants. She has traveled extensively over the last twelve years dining in hundreds of restaurants. She is a connoisseur of gourmet food and has sampled and compared many four and five star restaurants from many regions of the United States.

For a wonderful evening or a night you won’t want to forget, here is her list of places that you don’t want to miss in San Diego.

MARINE ROOM- This is one of the most romantic restaurants in San Diego with one of the best views of the ocean. This wins many awards and is one of the DiRoNA restaurants selected in San Diego. The cuisine is outstanding and the atmosphere is heavenly. Go on a weekend when they have live music playing or come for breakfast during a high tide and see the waves crash on the windows. This is a must for that special date-you won’t regret it and will wish all meals could be so perfect.

PAMPLEMOUSSE GRILL- The chef, Jeffrey’s credentials are amazing and he lives up to his reputation. Food is always a wonderful and perfect blend of flavors and ingredients. The caviar is incredible and has an unusual presentation. Although the meat and fish selections are sure winners, I have to say the five star vegetarian dish is hands done the best gourmet vegetarian dish in the city. The restaurant is popular year round but especially a favorite during race season where you may find yourself dining along with many celebrities.

TRATTORIA ACQUA- If Martha Stewart had a restaurant in San Diego this would be it. Some seating has ocean views but there is not a bad seat in the whole place. Attention is given to decor down to the littlest details. The food has pleasing innovative approaches to Italian food. You must not miss the Butternut Squash-Amaretto Cookie Ravioli served seasonally in the winter. I am told Cindy Crawford more…
